I found an ITE IT8716F-S chip on my brand new Abit M2N-E, but it seems that the IT87xx driver does not support this one.
I can load the module, but don't get any devices in /sys/bus/i2c/devices/... and there are no dmesg messages when loading the module.
So do you think supporting this chip is possible? Sadly I am not a coder, but maybe I could do some testing for you if you would try to make this one work :)
My Kernel is a 2.6.17, so the i2c code should be quite up2date.

This patch has been pushed upstream already, so it's only a matter of time before it reaches -mm and then 2.6.19User-space support is already available in lm_sensors SVN.
M2N-Eでlm_sensors動かそうとしてもIT8716F-Sがサポートされてないから動かない。コード書き屋じゃないからどうにもこうにもだけどテストくらいならでできるよん という投稿に対し
すでにパッチがあるしカーネルにも取り込まれるみたいだからちょっとまちなー という返信。
どうしよう。2.6.19がFC6にくるまで待つかそれともパッチ当てちゃおうか
